Early Intervention Programme in Malaysia

ABA-based early intervention for children with autism, ADHD, speech delay and other developmental needs.

What Is an Early Intervention Programme?

TLC supports children aged 2 to 10 through one-to-one and group ABA programmes. Each programme is based on the child’s current skills, needs and family priorities.

An Early Intervention Programme, or EIP, gives children extra support with communication, learning, behaviour, social interaction and everyday skills. Depending on the child’s needs, early intervention may include ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy or support from other professionals.

TLC provides ABA-based early intervention. We do not provide formal Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, sensory integration therapy or medical diagnosis. If another service is recommended, ABA can work alongside it as part of the child’s wider support plan.

Who May Benefit from TLC's Programme?

Parents may consider an assessment if their child:

• Has limited functional communication or difficulty expressing needs
• Finds it difficult to follow instructions or take part in learning activities
• Needs support with play, social interaction or group participation
• Shows behaviours that affect learning or daily routines
• Needs help with self-care, independence or school readiness
• Has autism, ADHD, speech delay or another developmental concern
• Is awaiting a formal developmental assessment but may benefit from support

These signs do not confirm a diagnosis. A programme assessment helps the TLC team decide whether ABA-based support may be suitable for the child.

What Parents Can Expect

01 Initial Consultation

We’ll talk with you about your child’s development, your concerns and your priorities. We’ll also explain the available options and whether an assessment may be helpful.

04 Individualised Programme

TLC prepares an ABA programme based on the assessment. Support may include one-to-one sessions, group sessions or a mix of both, depending on the child’s needs.

02 Individual Assessment

We assess your child’s current skills, learning needs and strengths. This is a programme assessment, not a medical diagnosis.

05 Progress Monitoring

We track progress during sessions and adjust goals when needed. Session data helps the team decide when the programme should be updated.

03 Goal Setting

We agree on practical, measurable goals with the family. The goals should be useful in the child’s everyday life.

06 Parent Updates

Parents receive regular updates and practical guidance to support the same skills at home and in everyday routines.

How TLC Delivers the Programme

One-to-One ABA

One-to-one ABA focuses on the child’s individual goals. It may suit children who need more personalised teaching, communication support or help with behaviours that affect learning.

Individualised Support

Each programme is built around the child’s current skills, needs and learning pace.

Group ABA gives children a structured way to practise skills with other children. It may support social communication, turn-taking, classroom readiness and taking part in group activities.

Progress Tracking

We use session data and regular reviews to track progress and decide when goals need to change.

Why Families Choose The Learning Curve

TLC's programmes are developed and supervised by qualified ABA professionals. Each programme is built around the child's current skills, needs and learning pace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need an autism diagnosis to begin? Not always. You can speak with TLC about a programme assessment while waiting for a formal diagnosis. We’ll explain whether ABA-based support may be suitable. Only a qualified medical or diagnostic professional can give an official diagnosis.

What age group does TLC support? TLC provides ABA-based programmes for children aged 2 to 10. Whether the programme is suitable will depend on the child’s needs.

Does TLC provide Speech Therapy or Occupational Therapy? No. TLC provides ABA-based services only. ABA may support communication, learning, behaviour and independence. It can also work alongside external Speech Therapy or Occupational Therapy when these are part of the child’s wider plan.

How long will my child need early intervention? There is no fixed length of time for every child. The recommended schedule will depend on the child’s assessment, goals, progress and family priorities.

Will my child receive one-to-one or group sessions? TLC offers both one-to-one and group ABA. We’ll recommend the format that best matches the child’s learning needs, readiness and goals.
